Linda Stokes was born in Denton,
TX, on April 20, 1958 and grew
up in Abilene, TX. Stokes
received her BS in Geology and
Art at Texas A&M, Commerce, TX
and her Masters of Art in Fine
Art at University of California
(Berkeley).
Stokes has done Special Effects
Designs for commercial films
such as Walt Disney, Paramount,
and more. She’s been nominated
for the Clios for design award
in animated commercial films
that she designed in special
effects sequences for TRON, Star
Trek movies and Next Generation
TV series, a sequence for Return
of the Jedi, and many others.
Stokes has had gallery showing
in LA, Austin (2), Hot Springs,
Oakland, and Fort Worth, and has
exhibited in group shows all
over the world, the latest in
Dallas, TX at the Bath House
Cultural Center.
Last summer she started doing
mobile photography with a
serious passion for it, and
7,000 people have circled to see
her work on Google+ (like Annie
Lebowitz). She shoots everything
with her phone, and loves it.
