The Goddard Center is proud to present Brian Pounds in concert! Brian Pounds has spent the past six years as Austin’s best-kept musical secret. He scored a blind audition on the hit TV show "The Voice," choosing to be on Oklahoma country music superstar Blake Shelton’s team. He’s opened for John Fullbright and appeared at Antones in Austin, Texas, and The Blue Door and VZD’s in Oklahoma City. In September of 2014, the singer-songwriter took a bold step into the national spotlight with the release of his new EP, Strikes and Gutters. The album is a Americana tour de force, featuring well-written, catchy originals. Photo by Adina Eichenholz.

Reception and Meet & Greet following performance

The Season will conclude with the return of Casa Mañana Theatre and their presentation of the children’s musical "Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale". In this tale, the evil enchantress Lady Za Za has banished Princess Rapunzel to the deep, dark, forest in an effort to rule the kingdom herself. It is up to handsome Sir Roderick and his hairdressing side-kick Edgar to restore the kingdom as they also search for true love and a perfect head of hair. Will they find everything they are looking for in Princess Rapunzel? With a dragon who’s lost his poof, a neurotic gypsy woman and a magical cast of characters, this hilarious twist on the classic fairy tale will delight princes and princesses of all ages. In 2012, Casa Mañana debuted "Rapunzel" at its 1,000 seat theatre, selling 18,000 tickets over 24 shows.
