2007 – 2008 Performance Calendar
Americana Unplugged Presents Brooks Williams August 8th at the Goddard Center!
With bluesy finger-picking, soaring bottleneck slide, and swinging flat-picking, Brooks Williams' music is rooted in the blues and is as fresh and original as any music you are likely to hear.
His unique combination of traditional and original music inspired Dirty Linen magazine to call Brooks Williams one of "America's musical treasures." His guitar skills won him a place on the Top 100 Acoustic Guitarists list, in company with the likes of Michael Hedges, Chet Atkins, Leo Kottke, Doc Watson, and David Bromberg, to name a few.

Eileen Ivers, March 24th, 2009
Back by popular demand, Irish Blues as performed by Eileen Ivers, Immigrant
Soul and the inspired vocalist Tommy McDonnell who was one of the original
Blues Brothers and has performed with such iconic legends as BB King, James
Brown, ZZ Top, Eddy "Knock on wood" Floyd, Eric Clapton, Isaac Hayes, Bo
Diddley, Jewel, and Al Green to name a few.
The show is a rare and select
grade of spectacular artists whose work is so boldly imaginative and clearly
virtuosic that it alters the medium. It has been said that the task of
respectfully exploring the traditions and progression of the Celtic fiddle
is quite literally on Eileen Ivers' shoulders. The Washington Post states,
"She suggests the future of the Celtic fiddle." Fiddler Eileen has
established herself as the pre-eminent exponent of the Irish fiddle in the
world today.
