Education Outreach Program
Year-Round Outreach
The Center was
established in 1970 with the vision of having
greater access and availability to both the visual
and performing arts for all citizens of south
central Oklahoma. The Center’s programs are
developed with an inclusive consideration of our
population. In 2006, the Center’s Primary Board of
Trustees made a commitment to Art Education and the
Art Education Outreach Program was established. The
Outreach program serves, at no cost to participants,
all area school students, senior citizens, at risk
youth, individuals with disabilities, minorities,
veterans, as well as economically challenged
families. Since its inception, thousands of people
have participated in the opportunities available at
the Center. There have been a myriad of Outreach
activities during the past few years including
educational concerts and lectures, gallery talks,
dance instruction, visual arts instruction,
storytelling, and the continuation of the Annual All
Schools Art Exhibit. The Center formed an Outreach
Advisory Committee dedicated to the development of a
broader and more diversified Art Education Outreach
Program for all of south central Oklahoma. The
committee actively promotes the Center and the Arts,
as well as works to procure funding from grants and
local sponsorships, to support the continuation of
the Outreach Program.

Art Studios
Year-Round Continuing Art Education
The Goddard Art Studios was established in 2000 as
the educational wing of the Goddard Center. The
Goddard Art Studios offers art classes unique to
this area. We regularly offer classes to children
and adults throughout the year in painting, drawing,
Photoshop, sculpture, metal construction, and
pottery. Since many of our Oklahoma schools have a
limited art curriculum, the studios make up for that
with a remarkable facility that is staffed by
professionally trained art instructors. Our art
classes are affordable and offer a resource to area
students, adults and seniors to seek art training.
Sponsorships are important to the Art Studios as it
furthers the studio’s mission to the public to
provide for a better and more creative art
education. The educational, economic, and social
dividends provided by the arts are important to the
growth and viability of south central Oklahoma.
