Summer Art Experience 2008
“Larger than Life: A Mosaic of Art Elements”
Session I: Monday, July 7th thru Friday, July11th
Session II: Monday, July 14th thru Friday, July 18th 
This year’s theme, “Larger than Life: A Mosaic of Art Elements”, will explore art elements such as line, shape, value, texture, and color. These elements will be examined using a variety of art media, as well as through gallery talks, storytelling, and dance. Instructors will present art projects influenced by art historical figures such as the portraits of Chuck Close, the soup cans of Andy Warhol, and the soft sculptures of Claes Oldenburg, creating imagery that is larger in scale than the original
Children can attend one or both sessions. Each session will include different activities. Materials are included.
Ages 5-6: 9:00am-1:00pm
$100 for 1 week, $175 for both weeks. |
Ages 7-8: 9:00am-2:00pm
$125 for 1 week, $200 for both weeks. |
Ages 9 & up: 9:00am-3:00pm
$125 for 1 week, $200 for both weeks. |
