Our Story

The Goddard Center’s main building was a state-of-the-art facility when it was built in 1970 as a community center for art, dance, music, theatre, and cultural activities.

The property was expanded when the Merrick building was acquired in 2000 and turned into an Art Teaching space, through which we now offer free fine art scholarships to the under-served. Added a Centennial Sculpture Garden in 2007 to connect our two buildings and make a more unified campus. Now, to ensure we serve the growing community well for the next fifty years, we need to improve our aging facilities and expand our impact.
